How it Works
The Master Angler Competition pits the winner of each clubs internal league against each other. A club can submit a 2nd placed angler if they have up to 20 members, 3rd placed angler if they have 30 members and so on (every 5 members for boat competitions).
Anglers fish over 3 legs on one particular weekend to select the master angler. The event rotates between the four provinces over a four year cycle.
The master angler winner will be the captain of the world team in the following year. The next 9 anglers, positioned 2nd to 10th qualify for the world team fish off. They join the other 20 anglers qualifying in the fish off pool from the previous year, at this current years fish off.
The fish off selects the 2nd to 5th members of the World team plus a subsititute.
The detailed rules are subject to change at AGM and an update will be posted shortly.
