Welcome to the home of The Irish Federation Of Sea Anglers . The IFSA was founded in 1953, and this growing online resource provides information regarding the organisation, its members and activities.

The main objectives of the IFSA are:

  1. To develop, foster and control the sport of sea angling in Ireland.
  2. To act and speak on behalf of sea angling in Ireland and where such interests are involved, with similar organisations in other countries.
  3. To make rules governing the sport of sea angling, particularly in festivals and competitions of all kinds.

The Minister of State Fergus O Dowd TD has confirmed that a compulsory charge for anglers will not be introduced in the context of the proposed new inland fisheries legislation.

Volunteer Leader(s) required for Mulhuddart Foróige Fishing Club
Leinster Provincial Council of the IFSA organised  a Shore Angling Coaching Intro Day for Juniors, (12yrs to 16yrs) on Sunday 26th, South Beach Arklow. 20 junior anglers attended the event, including a group organised through National Youth Development Organisation Foróige and the Dublin Angling Initiative.
